A Successful First Edition
With 37 participants representing 26 nationalities, the inaugural International Cello Academy Colditz/Saxony proved to be an outstanding success. Under the artistic guidance of the internationally renowned professors Peter Bruns, Troels Svane and Jens Peter Maintz, the Academy created an inspiring atmosphere shaped by musical excellence, intensive exchange and a shared passion for music. Bringing together young cellists from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, it offered valuable new perspectives and lasting inspiration for their artistic development. The highly rewarding first edition thus came to a successful conclusion, while at the same time laying the foundation for a lasting international meeting place for the next generation of exceptional musicians.

ABOUT US
Under the artistic direction of the internationally renowned Professor Peter Bruns, Professor Thomas Grossenbacher and Professor Peter Bruns will give intensive individual and chamber music lessons. Pianists Annegret Kuttner and Marta Patrocínio will accompany the teaching sessions as an experienced répétiteur team. The lessons will not only cover technical details of playing but will also place great emphasis on musical expression and artistic creativity, with the goal of significantly promoting and further developing the participants on their musical path.
