By submitting your application, you agree to our participation requirements. Please read them carefully before registering. They ensure the smooth organization of the application process and the masterclass.

Application Process

Please send your application documents by email to the Organizing Committee of the International Cello Academy Colditz/Saxony or register directly via our website.

💡 Please submit the documents first. After review by the Organizing Committee, you will receive an invitation. After that, you can pay the course fee.

Arrival: January 20, 2026

🕘 09:00 AM –11:00 AM – Registration at the student office

Departure: January 25, 2026
🕒 02:00 PM (after the final concert)

The course of Prof. Jens Peter Maintz begins on January 22.
The course of Prof. Troels Svane begins on January 20.
The course of Prof. Peter Bruns begins on January 20.

Course Fees

Registration fee (non-refundable): €40.00
Course fee (active participation): €650.00
Total amount: €690.00

Cancellation Policy

Up to 15 days before the start of the course:
Refund of €650 course fee
14 days before the course or later:
Cancellation fee of €300
Refund of the remaining amount (€350)

Services Included in the Course Fee

✅ 3 lessons (including piano accompaniment)

✅ Passive participation in all masterclasses (as listener)

✅ Access to all concerts during the academy

✅ Participation in the final concert

Practice Rules & House Regulations

To ensure fair practice conditions for everyone:

Maximum usage time per practice room: 2 hours (multiple bookings possible)

Practice times: 08:00–23:00

As guests of the Saxony State Music Academy, please note:

🚭 No eating, smoking, or alcohol in the rooms

🧹 Keep all corridors & rooms clean

🎻 Do not place objects on instruments

🔒 Do not leave valuables unattended

💡 When leaving the room: turn off lights, close windows, lock the door

Accommodation & Catering

Accommodation at Youth Hostel Schloss Colditz (En-suite rooms with bunk beds):

Rates for single or shared occupancy are based on the current official price list.

Catering (Optional):

🍽️ Lunch and 🍲 Dinner: Meals are charged according to the actual current rates.
